Satin Fabrics
Satin is a fabric with a glossy surface and a dull fabric back. The fabric is formed with a satin weave using filament fibers such as silk, nylon or polyester.
The Granite Weave and Check Weave are variations of the basic Satin. The majority of woven products are formed by satin weaves, twill weaves and plain weaves.
Satin is used in clothing such as athletic shorts, women's lingerie, nightgowns, evening wear, men's boxer shorts, ties and shirts. Satin is also used in interior furnishings such as upholstery, bedding and fabrics.
